Logic Pro: Control Automation with V1-M, P1-M, and P1 Nano
Applies to: V1-M, P1-M, P1 Nano
DAW: Logic Pro
Control Mode: Mackie Control
Overview
The V1-M, P1-M, and P1 Nano can control automation in Logic Pro using Mackie Control. This allows you to write and edit changes for volume, pan, mute, solo, and other channel controls directly from your DAW controller.
Automation is useful when you want a mix to move with the music, such as raising a vocal phrase, lowering an instrument during a busy section, or adding movement to a track over time.
Supported Automation Modes in Logic Pro
In Logic Pro, you can use the following automation modes from your controller:
- Read
- Write
- Latch
- Touch
The following modes are not supported from the controller:
- Off
- Trim
Because Off and Trim do not work in this setup, they will not light up on your controller.
