FAQ: How do I recover my V-Series or P-Series controller from a failed firmware update?
(This article applies to the V1-M, V1-X, P1-M, P1-X and P1 Nano)
On occasion, a controller device can become stuck in firmware upgrade mode. This can often be due to power fluctuations or an interrupted internet connection. Occasionally this may be due to a USB hub being used during firmware upgrade.
If this happens, please follow these steps;
1. Connect the USB cable to the USB port of the DAW Controller. Turn on the power.
2. Open the appropriate iMap and click on "FIRMWARE UPGRADE".
3. Before clicking "Start", click on the empty grey blank space of the Firmware Upgrade window in the iMAP. Now, press ‘T’ on the computer keyboard. After that, a small dot will appear after the words “Firmware Upgrade”, as shown in the figure.
4. Next, turn off the power to the unit
5. Click "Start" and immediately turn the unit back on again.
6. Wait until the upgrade is completed, (Note: Please do not close the windows that pop up during the upgrade process).
