Editing plugin parameters on the V1-M or P1-M with Pro Tools
To edit plugins in Pro Tools using your Icon Pro Audio V1-M or P1-M series controllers. In Pro Tools, you must have the main controller on the left and any extenders on the right if you want to use the units for plugin control. Also the main unit needs to be the first unit in Peripherals when you set up the configuration in Pro Tools. Plugin information is sent to the extender because it sees the track information, but it doesn't allow for control. Plugins must be controlled from the main unit. Here's how to control your plugins.
- Use your mouse in the DAW to select the plugin you wish to edit
- Press ‘PLUG-IN’ on the touchscreen. The plugin that is open will flash on the display.
- Press the encoder that corresponds to the plugin you wish to edit.
- Now you should see the parameters on the screen in the first four display windows
(HUI protocol limits the parameters to the first four windows.) - Press the encoder of the parameter you wish to edit.
- Now rotate the encoder to adjust the parameters. Press the encoder for On/Off parameters. Rotate for adjustable parameters.
- Rotate encoder 5 to scroll through the pages of parameters, or to scroll through the Inserts
- When scrolling through the pages, turn the encoder left for odd numbered pages and right for even numbered pages.
- Press encoder 5 to Exit the parameter selection.
